A comprehensive 4–6 week, QCTO-aligned programme that combines classroom theory, hands-on installation practice, and job readiness training — preparing 100 disadvantaged youth per year for careers in South Africa's renewable energy sector.

Foundation
Theory, Safety & Technical Fundamentals
How photovoltaic systems work, solar radiation principles, system components
Safety protocols, PPE requirements, electrical hazard awareness, SANS 10142 standards
Solar panels, inverters, charge controllers, batteries, mounting hardware
DC vs AC, voltage, current, power calculations, circuit fundamentals
Practical Installation
Hands-On Field Training & Live Installations
Energy audits, load calculations, roof/ground mount suitability, shading analysis
Roof penetrations, rails, panel mounting, structural integrity, waterproofing
DC/AC wiring, inverter configuration, grid connection, battery setup (if applicable)
10 real household installations per cohort — supervised by BlaqRocc technical leads, signed off by Professional Engineer/Technician
Career Launch
Certification Prep & Job Readiness
Theory review, practical skills assessment, compliance and code requirements
CV building, interview practice, professional communication, workplace conduct

Open to young South Africans from historically disadvantaged backgrounds
Priority given to those actively seeking employment and career development
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification preferred (exceptions considered)
Must be available for full-time training over the 4–6 week period
